Things You'll Need

  • A mild detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Stain remover
  • Cotton swabs or cloth
  • Paper towels or cloth towel

Instructions

  1. Gently remove as much of the mascara stain as possible using a cotton swab or cloth.
  2. Mix a few drops of a mild detergent with some white vinegar.
  3. Dampen a cloth with the solution and blot at the stained area until the stain begins to fade.
  4. If the stain is still visible, apply a stain remover to the affected area.
  5. Gently blot at stain with a dampened cloth.
  6. Once the stain is no longer visible, allow alpaca to air dry completely.

Tips

  • Always test any cleaning solution on a small, inconspicuous area of alpaca first to ensure the fabric does not discolor or shrink.
  • If the stain persists, consider taking the alpaca to a professional dry cleaner.

Warnings

  • Never attempt to clean alpaca while it is still wet, as this can cause further damage to the material.
