What You'll Need

  • Q-Tips
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Soft cloth
  • Non-abrasive cleaner (like vinegar or dish soap)

Step 1: Lightly Dampen Q-Tip with Rubbing Alcohol

Start by lightly dampening a Q-Tip with rubbing alcohol. Do not soak the Q-Tip, as this may cause further damage to your watch.

Step 2: Gently Rub the Stain with the Q-Tip

Gently rub the permanent marker stain with dampened Q-Tip. Do not press too hard, as this could cause further damage.

Step 3: Clean the Area with a Soft Cloth

Once you have removed as much of the stain as you can with the Q-Tip, clean the area with a soft cloth. This will help to remove any residue from the rubbing alcohol.

Step 4: Use a Non-Abrasive Cleaner to Finish

Finish off by using a non-abrasive cleaner, such as vinegar or dish soap, to clean the area. This will ensure that all traces of the permanent marker stain are removed.

Step 5: Leave to Dry and Enjoy!

Once the area has been cleaned, leave it to dry and you should be good to go! Enjoy your watch without the unsightly permanent marker stain.
