No one likes that feeling of putting on their favorite pair of thongs only to find that someone used it as a canvas for their arts and crafts session. Markers on clothes can be a tricky mess to deal with - but luckily, this simple cleaning trick makes it much easier to tackle these stains.

The first step is to act quickly. Whether the marker stain is from a felt-tip pen, crayon, or permanent marker, it’s important to treat it as soon as you can. Waiting too long will make it harder to remove stain.

To start, dampen a paper towel or rag with either water or a gentle detergent. Gently rub the stained area with the damp cloth. Start from the outside of the stain and work your way inwards, avoiding any vigorous scrubbing. Continue this until the stain starts to fade.

After the stain has started to diminish, soak the thong in a sink full of warm water and detergent. Let it sit for at least an hour to give the soap a chance to work its magic. If you’re still seeing some of the marker, you may want to repeat the process of lightly scrubbing the stain with damp cloth.

Once the stain has been removed, rinse the thong off and launder it as normal. This should help get rid of any residue from detergent or the marker itself. For best results, hang dry the thong after the wash cycle.

These steps should help get rid of any marker stains on thongs. Be sure to act quickly, use a gentle detergent, and avoid harsh scrubbing to get the job done. With just a few simple steps, you can say goodbye to those pesky marker stains!
