The following steps will help you banish the stain from your tank top in no time.
What You'll Need
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- An old toothbrush or rag
- Dish detergent
- A washing machine
Instructions
- Mix equal parts white vinegar and baking soda together until you create a paste.
- Using an old toothbrush or a rag, gently rub the paste into stained area for about 2 minutes.
- Allow the mixture to sit on fabric for 5 minutes, then rinse the area with cold water.
- If stain remains, repeat steps 1-3, then apply a bit of dish detergent to the stained area and rub it in, let it sit for 10 minutes and rinse.
- Put your tank top on the normal cycle in the washing machine.
Tips
- Make sure to use cold water when rinsing, as hot water will cause marker ink to set and become more difficult to remove.
