Step 1: Act Quickly

The sooner you act, the better chance you have of successfully cleaning the marker stain. Rubbing alcohol should be your first line of defense against marker stains on taffeta.

Step 2: Prepare a Cleaning Solution

Mix one part white vinegar and two parts rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle.

Step 3: Test the Solution

Before using the cleaning solution, it's important to test it on an inconspicuous area of the taffeta to ensure that it won't cause any damage.

Step 4: Liberally Spray the Stain

Once you're sure that the cleaning solution won't damage the fabric, liberally spray the stain with the solution until it's fully saturated.

Step 5: Let It Sit

Leave the cleaning solution on the stain for several minutes. This will give the solution time to work its magic and break down the stain.

Step 6: Blot Away the Stain

Use a white cloth or paper towel to blot away the stain. Do not rub as this could spread the stain and make it worse.

Step 7: Rinse With Water

Once the stain is gone, rinse the area with water and allow it to air dry.
