Removing Marker Stains from Sweaters
Here is a simple guide on how to remove marker stains from sweaters:
- Using a damp cloth, blot at the stained area to try and remove as much of the ink as possible.
- If stain persists, apply a bit of rubbing alcohol to a cotton ball and gently blot at the stain. Be sure not to scrub at it too aggressively, as this may cause more damage and actually spread stain.
- If rubbing alcohol isn't working, you can try using a bit of nail polish remover (non-acetone may work better). Again, only use a small amount and blot gently at the stain.
- Once the stain has been removed, rinse area with cold water to remove any residue and then allow sweater to air dry.
