- Blot the stained area with a clean cloth to remove any excess ink.
- Mix one part dish soap and two parts water in a bucket or bowl and stir until it forms suds. Soak the stained garment in the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Wash the garment according to the care instructions on tag. For example, if it is a machine-washable fabric, set washer to the delicate cycle and use cold water. If it’s a dry-clean only fabric, then take it to the dry cleaners.
- If the stain is still visible, apply an enzyme-based spot remover directly to the stain and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Rinse the garment in cool water and check for any remaining stain.
- Apply rubbing alcohol directly to the stain and let it sit for a few minutes.
- Wash the garment again according to the care instructions on tag and hang it up to dry. Do not put the garment in the dryer.
