1. Apply Detergent Solution

Mix some liquid detergent and water in a bowl. Use a ratio of 1 teaspoon of detergent to every 1 cup of warm water. Stir the solution together until detergent is dissolved. Then use a clean white cloth or sponge to apply detergent-water mixture to the stained area.

2. Absorb Liquid

When you have applied the detergent mixture to the stain, use a paper towel or clean cloth to absorb the liquid. Gently dab the stained area, taking care not to rub the fabric too hard. Repeat this process until all of the liquid has been removed.

3. Rinse and Rub Soap

After you have absorbed the liquid, rinse the area with cool water. Then, take a little bit of liquid laundry detergent or dish soap and rub it into the affected area. Once again, use a paper towel or a clean cloth to absorb any excess liquid.

4. Rinse Again and Air Dry

Finally, rinse the area with cool water once more. Squeeze the fabric gently to remove as much water as possible, then lay the item flat on a dry towel to air dry. Do not place item in the dryer, as heat can set the stain.
