When it comes to cleaning marker stains from shearling garments and accessories, the best approach is to address the issue immediately after the stain occurs. If the marker has already dried, take a soft, damp cloth and gently dab the stained area. This will help loosen the stain and make it easier to clean.

Once you've blotted the stain with a cloth, treat the affected area with a few drops of detergent, a small amount of hydrogen peroxide, or a combination of both. Allow the solution to sit for a few minutes before using a soft-bristled brush to work it into the stain. Finally, rinse the area with a damp cloth and warm water.

If the stain hasn’t been removed after your initial attempt, a laundry pre-treatment can be used. However, be sure to always test the product on an inconspicuous area of the garment first. Follow the directions on the pre-treatment packaging and then launder the item according to its care label.

Keep in mind that if the garment is washable, you should never use high heat settings, as this could cause shrinkage and damage to the shearling fabric. Instead, opt for a low temperature setting and avoid drying the garment in the dryer. Lay the item flat to allow it to dry naturally instead.

With these tips and tricks, you are now ready to tackle any marker stains that pop up on your beloved shearling garments and accessories. Simply follow the steps above to get rid of those pesky blemishes quickly and easily.
