Neutralize Marker Stains on Seersucker in a jiffy!
Marker stains on seersucker fabric do not have to be permanent. With just a few simple steps, you can neutralize these stains and make your seersucker look like new again.

If you’re dealing with a fresh stain, start by dampening stained area with a wet cloth. This will help to weaken the marker so that the stain can be more easily removed.
To neutralize the stain, mix equal parts of dish soap and white vinegar in a bowl. Apply the mixture to the stained area and let sit for about 10 minutes. Rub the area gently with a soft cloth.
Rinse stain with tepid water and continue to rub the area until all of the marker has been lifted. If you’re still seeing some marker residue, repeat the process until it’s completely gone.
Once marker stain is gone, you can launder your seersucker fabric normally. Wash in cold water using a gentle detergent and lay flat to dry.
