  • White vinegar
  • Small bowl or basin
  • Old toothbrush
  • Liquid dish soap

Steps to Clean Marker Stains from Scarves

  1. Soak: Fill a small bowl or basin with white vinegar and let your scarf soak for several minutes in liquid.
  2. Scrub: Once ink is soft, take an old toothbrush and gently scrub the stained area in gentle, circular motions.
  3. Rinse: Remove the scarf from the vinegar and rinse it with cold water.
  4. Repeat: If necessary, repeat the same process.
  5. Wash: Once all the stains have been removed, wash scarf with a little bit of liquid dish soap as you would normally wash your clothing item.
