If your child has managed to get marker on their sandals, there is no need to panic. Stains can easily be removed with the right cleaning technique.

The first step is to identify the type of fabric used to make the sandals. This will determine which cleaning products and methods you should use. For example, suede sandals require a different cleaning approach than leather or synthetic sandals.

How to Remove Marker Stains from Leather or Suede Sandals

  • To start, you’ll need an eraser and a toothbrush.
  • Gently rub the eraser over the stain to lift the ink.
  • For tougher stains, dip the toothbrush into some warm water and lightly scrub the area. Be sure not to scrub too hard or you could damage fabric.
  • Once marker is gone, use a damp cloth to wipe down the area.
  • Allow sandals to air dry before wear.

How to Remove Marker Stains from Synthetic Sandals

  • Start by dabbing the stained area with a cloth soaked in water.
  • Next, apply a small amount of detergent onto the stain and gently scrub with a soft brush.
  • Finally, rinse off the detergent and stain with cold water and let air-dry.

With these easy steps, you can quickly remove marker stains from sandals and get your footwear back to looking good as new!
