When accidents happen and your Onitsuka Tiger shoes get a bit of a makeover with markers, there's no need to worry. You can get the stains out using a few common household items. Follow the steps below to get your shoes looking pristine once again.
Before you start tackling the stain, you'll want to do a quick test on an inconspicuous area of the shoe to make sure the cleaning method will not damage it. Collect a few drops of water and white vinegar each, and dab a bit of both onto the inside of shoe or back of the tongue to ensure that the fabrics are not damaged.
Once you've determined the cleaning supplies won't be too harsh for the shoe, collect everything you need. Grab some white vinegar, water, a small bowl, a soft-bristled toothbrush, and a cloth.
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in the bowl. Then, dip the toothbrush into the solution and gently scrub stained area.
Once you're done scrubbing, grab the cloth and blot the soapy area until the liquid is absorbed. The stain should be gone, but if you still spot a bit of discoloration, repeat steps two to four until it disappears.
Getting markers off of Onitsuka Tiger shoes doesn't have to be a stress-inducing task. With a few common household items and a bit of patience, you should be able to remove the stain without any noticeable damage to shoe.
