Things You’ll Need:

  • Dish soap
  • Clean cloth or sponge
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • White vinegar

Cleaning the Marker Stain:

  1. Start by dabbing the stain with a cloth or sponge that has been dip into some water.
  2. Apply some dish soap to the stain and scrub gently using a cloth or a soft-bristled brush.
  3. Rinse the area with cold water.
  4. If needed, apply rubbing alcohol to the stain and rub gently in a circular motion.
  5. Alternatively, mix one-part white vinegar with two parts water and apply to the area. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off.

Tips and Warnings:

  • Always test your cleaning solution on an inconspicuous part of the mule first to make sure it won’t damage the material.
  • When applying vinegar to the stain, avoid applying too much or letting it sit for too long, as it can lighten the color of the leather.
