The first step in tackling a marker stain on lingerie is to determine the fabric type of the clothing item. Different fabrics require different cleaning methods, so it's important to know what you're dealing with. For lingerie made of materials like cotton, polyester, or nylon, use a mild laundry detergent to pretreat stain before washing. Apply a small amount of detergent directly onto the stained area, then gently rub the stained areas with a soft-bristled brush. Let the detergent sit for 10 minutes, then rinse the garment with cold water.

If the lingerie contains delicate fabrics like silk, satin, or lace, dab the stained area with a damp cloth and some rubbing alcohol to remove the marker ink. Rubbing alcohol can be harsh on some delicate fabrics, so be sure to test it on a small, inconspicuous area first. Once the stained area has been treated with the rubbing alcohol, allow it to air dry completely before laundering the garment as normal.

For stubborn marker stains that just won't budge, try using some stain-removing products like OxyClean or Zout. Soak stained garment in a solution of these products for about 30 minutes before laundering as usual. This approach should help break down any remaining marker stain residue.

By following these steps and using a little elbow grease, you should be able to get your lingerie looking as good as new in no time. And with proper care and storage, you can ensure that marker stains don't become a reoccurring problem.
