Pen, marker and ink stains can often find their way onto your lawn, creating an unsightly blemish that detracts from your otherwise perfect yard. In order to get rid of these eyesores, you'll need to take a few steps.
The first step is to remove as much of the stain as possible. This can be done by lightly scraping away the excess ink or marker with a flat object such as a butter knife or a paint scraper. Be careful not to dig too deep into the lawn, as this may cause further damage.
Once you've removed excess ink, you'll need to treat the remaining stain. This can be done by pouring a small amount of rubbing alcohol directly onto the stained area. Allow the alcohol to sit for up to five minutes before using a cloth to scrub away the remaining residue. If the stain persists, repeat the process until it is removed.
Once the stain has been removed, you should clean the area to ensure that any remaining debris or ink particles are eliminated. To do this, you can use either a garden hose or a pressure washer. Start by spraying the affected area with plain water. Then, spray a solution of one part laundry detergent and three parts water to help remove any remaining residue. Once area is dry, you can mow lawn as usual, and your yard should look as good as new!
