Take a cotton cloth and gently dab the area with marker stain. Don't scrub as this will only spread stain further. Instead, blot stained area using gentle pressure. This should help absorb the marker from the Irish crochet.
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a bowl. Soak a clean cloth in the solution, then squeeze out the excess liquid. Place cloth over the marker stain and leave it there for 10 minutes. The vinegar should react with the marker and help lift the stain.
After the vinegar solution has had a chance to sit, take a clean cloth and wet it with warm water. Squeeze out the excess water, then add a few drops of liquid dish soap. Gently rub the cloth onto the stain. Doing this should help remove any remaining marker residue and lift it out of the Irish crochet.
Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area with cool water. This should help get rid of any soap or vinegar residue. Finally, allow the Irish crochet to air dry completely before use.
