To effectively remove marker stains from HM fabric, you'll need a few simple supplies:
Using a white cloth, start by blotting the stained area. This will help to absorb some of the marker into cloth. Try to avoid scrubbing fabric, as this could cause the stain to spread.
Now it's time to try the liquid laundry detergent. Place a small amount onto the stained area, and use a wet cloth to gently work it into the fabric. Wait five minutes, then rinse affected area. If the marker stain is still visible, move onto the next step.
If the stain hasn't been removed after trying detergent, you can use hydrogen peroxide. Dip a cloth in hydrogen peroxide, then dab it over the stained area. If needed, scrub lightly in a circular motion. Again, wait five minutes before rinsing the area. If the stain remains, move onto next step.
Lemon juice can be effective in removing marker stains from HM fabric. Simply apply a bit of lemon juice directly to stained area, let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse. It may take a few tries before the stain is completely gone.
Once the marker stain has been removed, wash the garment as normal. It's important to do this right away so the fabric gets cleaned and any lingering marker residue won't stain other items in the load.
