Things that You Need

  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Lightweight non-abrasive scrub brush
  • Cloth rag
  • Vinegar
  • Baking soda

Step 1: Scrub the Stain Away

Start by dampening a cloth rag with some dishwashing liquid. Take a lightweight non-abrasive scrub brush and scrunch up the cloth rag around the bristles. Use the scrub brush to gently scrub away at the marker stain in a circular motion.

For tougher stains, try using a cleaner specifically designed for leather, such as saddle soap. When done scrubbing, wipe off the soap with a clean damp cloth.

Step 2: Baking Soda and Vinegar

Baking soda and vinegar are two of most effective home remedies for removing stubborn stains. Make a paste by combining one part baking soda and one part vinegar. Apply the paste onto the marker stain and let it sit for a few minutes before scrubbing with a non-abrasive scrub brush.

Step 3: Final Cleaning

Once the marker stain is gone, grab a clean damp cloth and wipe away the paste. You may need to use a suede brush to remove any remaining debris. When you’re finished, buff the area to restore original finish of your Hermes.
