What You'll Need

  • Paper towels or a soft white cloth
  • Lemon juice (optional)
  • A few drops of dish detergent
  • A small bowl
  • Warm water

Step 1: Absorb the Excess Ink

Start by dabbing the stain with a paper towel or soft white cloth to remove any excess ink. Do not rub or scrub the stain, as this might spread the ink and make it harder to remove. If the paper towels are becoming discolored, replace them with clean ones.

Step 2: Create Your Cleaning Solution

Pour a few tablespoons of warm water into a small bowl and add a few drops of dish detergent. Optionally, you can also add a tablespoon of lemon juice for extra cleaning power.

Step 3: Soak the Stain

Dip cloth into the cleaning solution and then squeeze out the excess liquid. Dab the cloth onto the stain, being sure to cover the entire affected area. Let cleaning solution soak into the stain for a few minutes.

Step 4: Rinse and Repeat

Once the stain has soaked for a few minutes, rinse off cleaning solution with warm water and pat dry with a paper towel. If stain is still visible, you can repeat above steps until it's gone.

Extra Tips

  • Always use a gentle, non-abrasive detergent on your handbag.
  • Before using any cleaning solution on your handbag, test it on a small, inconspicuous part of fabric first.
  • Avoid using hot water, as this can damage fabric of your handbag.
