Whether you're starting to use an old grill or need to spruce up one you already own, getting rid of marker stains can seem tricky. However, with a few simple steps you can easily remove marker stains from your grill.

What You'll Need

  • Bucket
  • Dish soap
  • Scrub brush
  • Chlorine bleach
  • Rags
  • Gloves

Steps to Clean Marker Stains from Grills

  1. Fill a bucket with warm water and dish soap.
  2. Dip a scrub brush into the soapy water and scrub the marker stains gently.
  3. Once the marker has been removed, rinse the grill grates with clean water.
  4. Mix a solution of 1 part chlorine bleach and 10 parts water in a bucket.
  5. Dip a rag into the solution and use it to wipe down the grill grates.
  6. Once all of the marker stains have been removed, rinse the grates with clean water again.
  7. Let the grates dry completely before using.

By following these steps, you can quickly and easily remove marker stains from your grill grates. As always, wear gloves and safety glasses to protect yourself from the bleach solution and remember to never mix bleach with any other cleaning chemicals.
