The first way to remove marker stains from clothing is to use a mild soap and warm water. Begin by adding a few drops of mild dish soap or laundry detergent to a bowl of warm water. Then, dip your stained dress into the solution and let it sit for a few minutes. Once it has soaked, gently rub the stain with a soft cloth or sponge to help loosen any remaining marker residue.
White vinegar is a great natural alternative to using harsh chemicals on your clothing. To use this method, simply combine equal parts white vinegar and cold water in a bowl. Then, soak the stained area of your dress in mixture for 10-15 minutes. After that, rinse the garment with cold water and repeat the process until the stain is completely removed.
If the other two methods don’t seem to be working for removing marker stains, try using ammonia. Ammonia works as a powerful degreaser, making it perfect for getting rid of stubborn marker stains. Begin by mixing equal parts ammonia and cold water in a bowl and then soak the stained area of your dress for 10-15 minutes. Rinse the garment with cold water and repeat until the stain is gone.
Rubbing alcohol is another great option for cleaning marker stains off clothing. Simply add a few drops of rubbing alcohol to a bowl containing an equal amount of white vinegar and cold water. Then, soak the stained area of your dress in the mixture for 15-20 minutes. After that, rinse garment with cold water and repeat the process if necessary.
