Step 1: Blot the Stain

Using a clean cloth or paper towel, blot the stained area to absorb as much of the marker as possible. Do not rub the cloth on fabric as this can cause the stain to spread.

Step 2: Apply a Pre-Treatment Solution

Mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water in a bowl and stir until combined. Make sure solution is not too hot as it could damage the crepe fabric. With a clean cloth, gently dab the pre-treatment solution onto the marker stain.

Step 3: Allow Solution to Sit

Allow the pre-treatment solution to sit for a few minutes so it has time to break up the marker stain. Do not leave it on for too long as it may damage the fabric.

Step 4: Rinse Off the Solution

Using a clean cloth, rinse off the pre-treatment solution from the fabric. Then, blot the area with a dry cloth to remove any excess moisture.

Step 5: Wash Fabric

For best results, it is recommended to wash the fabric in a washing machine on a delicate setting. To be sure that the stain is completely gone, air dry the fabric and check the area before placing it in the dryer.
