Coveralls are a widely used and practical clothing choice for many industrial environments. Unfortunately, it's not uncommon for these garments to be covered with marker stains from accidental spills or misuse. To ensure that your coveralls stay looking great, follow these simple steps:
The first step to effectively getting rid of a marker stain is to pre-treat it with a laundry detergent or fabric stain remover. For best results, try to pre-treat the stain as soon as possible after it appears on the coverall, before it has a chance to set in.
After pre-treating the stain, put the coveralls into the washing machine with a hot water cycle. Using hotter temperatures helps to further break down the pigment in marker stain, and aids in its removal.
If, after washing, the stain still remains, you may need to do some additional pre-treating. You can repeat the process described in Step 1 and then re-wash the coveralls on the hot water cycle.
Once your coveralls have been washed, hang them up to air dry or place them in dryer on low heat setting. Avoid drying on high heat as this can cause the stain to become set into the fabric.
With these simple steps, you can quickly and easily remove marker stains from your coveralls. In just a few easy steps, you'll have your coveralls looking as good as new.
