What You'll Need
- Isopropyl alcohol (70% or higher)
- Cotton swabs
- Clean cloths
- Dishwashing detergent
- Stainless steel scrubber
Instructions
- Test the isopropyl alcohol on an inconspicuous area of the cotton canvas prior to cleaning the stained area. Watch for any discoloration or shrinkage which may occur.
- Moisten a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol. Begin by gently blotting the stained area. Do not rub or scrub the stain as this may cause damage.
- Continue to use cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol until the stain is no longer visible. Rinse the area with water and then pat dry with a clean cloth.
- If the stain remains, mix together a solution of warm water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Use a stainless steel scrubber to work solution into stained area. Rinse again with warm water and pat dry with a clean cloth.
