Step 1: Dab the Stain with a Clean Cloth

Start by lightly dabbing the stained area with a clean, damp cloth. This will help to absorb some of the stain before attempting more aggressive cleaning methods.

Step 2: Apply Laundry Detergent Directly to Stain

Now that you have removed some of the excess ink from the stain, it is time to apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly to the fabric. Gently rub the detergent into stained area until a light lather appears. Allow the detergent to soak into the fabric for 10-15 minutes before proceeding to the next step.

Step 3: Rinse the Stain with Cold Water

Once you have let the detergent do its work, rinse the stained area with cold water. You may want to use a brush or a soft cloth to help remove any remaining residue. Continue to rinse fabric until all traces of the detergent and the stain have been removed.

Step 4: Wash the Item

Once the stain has been completely removed, you can now place the item in the washing machine for a regular cycle. Be sure to use a mild detergent, such as a baby detergent, to help prevent further damage to the fabric. Once the wash cycle is complete, hang item up to dry.
