Step 1: Blot the Stained Area

Before you try to remove the stain, grab a clean cloth and gently blot away any excess liquid or solid residue. This will help to prevent the stain from spreading and make it easier to treat.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stain

Once you’ve blotted the area, you can begin to pre-treat stain by applying a small amount of laundry detergent or dishwashing liquid directly onto the affected area. Gently rub the soap into the fabric in a circular motion. Let the detergent sit for 10 minutes and then blot the area again.

Step 3: Wash the Fabric

Once you’ve pre-treated the stain, you can begin to wash fabric. Make sure you use a gentle detergent and cold water when washing chiffon fabric as it is a delicate material. If the marker stain has not completely come out after washing, repeat steps 2 and 3 again until it is gone.
