Mix a mild, gentle detergent with some cool water. Using a soft cloth, apply a small amount of the detergent solution directly to the stain and let it sit for around two minutes. If necessary, gently massage the detergent solution into the stain.
Once the stain is saturated with the detergent solution, rinse the area with cool water. Be careful not to rub area too hard as cashmere is a delicate material.
If the stain is still visible, next try an alcohol-based solvent such as rubbing alcohol. Put a bit of the solvent on a soft cloth and dab the stain gently. Do not scrub the fabric.
