Steps for Marker Stain Removal on Capris
Depending on the type of fabric your capris are made of, you may want to test one of these stain removal methods on a spot that isn't visible first.
- If the stain is still fresh and wet, sprinkle some baking soda on it and scrub it gently with a soft-bristled brush.
- For older, dry stains, try dabbing a bit of rubbing alcohol onto the affected area with a clean, white cloth and work it in gently.
- If necessary, repeat either of these methods until the marker stain completely disappears.
- Finally, wash your capris according to the care instructions on the garment tag.
Alternative Methods for Marker Stain Removal
If baking soda and rubbing alcohol don't do the trick, try one of these additional methods:
- Mix laundry detergent and water together and massage the solution into the stain before washing.
- Combine white vinegar and warm water in equal amounts and sponge the mixture onto the stained area.
- Try scrubbing the stain with a toothbrush and a bit of bleach diluted in water.
When using any of these methods, be sure to take all necessary safety precautions and read the directions on the bottle or package before beginning.
