If you’re dealing with tough marker stains on your business suit, the first step is to add a few drops of rubbing alcohol directly on the affected area and gently scrub with a soft cloth. This should help lift the stain from the fabric. For more stubborn stains, lay the garment flat and then cover the affected area with a piece of absorbent paper towel or cotton swab and gently dab with rubbing alcohol.
Once the excess ink has been removed, mix a small amount of laundry detergent with warm water and dip your washcloth into it. Gently rub the fabric in a circular motion and rinse with cold water. If any traces of the stain remain, try repeating the preceding steps until the stain is completely gone.
If none of these options work, don't despair! You can try using a pre-treater specifically designed to remove marker stains. Simply follow the instructions on the label and your garment will be good as new in no time.
No matter what kind of stain you’re dealing with, always make sure to test a hidden area of fabric before you begin treating stain. This will help ensure that you don’t cause any damage to the garment.
