Bras are some of the most important pieces of clothing for a woman and it's not always easy to find the perfect fit. When marker stains land on the fabric, it can be a huge inconvenience. To restore the beauty and comfort of your undergarments, follow these three steps for solving this common problem.

Step 1: Rinse and Soak

First, rinse off the marker stain as soon as possible with cold water. Take care to avoid rubbing the fabric, as that may set ink and make it harder to remove. Afterwards, soak in a sink or bucket filled with clean, cold water and a small amount of laundry detergent. Do this for several hours, or overnight if needed.

Step 2: Pretreat with Stain Remover

Once the initial soaking is complete, apply a pre-treatment formula such as a stain remover or bar soap. Rub the treatment gently into the fabric surrounding the stain and then allow it to sit for at least 15 minutes.

Step 3: Wash as Normal

Finally, launder your bra as normal using cold water and the lightest setting on your washing machine. Do not put in the dryer as heat may cause stain to become permanent. Instead, air dry the garment and check to see if stain is gone. If not, repeat steps one through three until the stain is completely removed.
