Using Baking Soda and Water

Mixing baking soda and water into a thin paste can help lift marker stains from leather, suede and nubuck boots. Dip a soft cloth or sponge into the paste, then gently rub it onto stain.

Using Rubbing Alcohol

Soak a clean cloth or cotton ball in rubbing alcohol and dab it over the stain. Be sure to avoid saturating the material, as this could cause discolouration. After wiping stain, use a dry cloth to wipe area again.

Using Vinegar and Dish Soap

Mix equal parts white vinegar and dish soap together to create a foamy solution. Dab this onto the marker stain with a cloth or sponge and gently rub until it disappears. Rinse off the suds using a damp cloth, then use a dry cloth to remove any lingering moisture.

Using Nail Polish Remover

If all else fails, nail polish remover can help lift marker stains from leather, suede and nubuck boots. Dab a cotton ball or clean cloth in the remover, then gently rub it onto the stain. Finish by wiping away the remover with a damp cloth, then a dry cloth.
