Marker stains can be quite tricky when it comes to cleaning fabrics like cotton, nylon and polyester. But don't worry, with the right technique and products, you'll be able to remove the stain within minutes.

Things you'll need:

  • Mild liquid laundry detergent
  • Lemon Juice
  • Cold water
  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • A soft bristled brush

Steps to follow:

  1. Rinse the stained area in cold water to remove as much of the marker stain as possible. Do not rub the stain as it will spread further.
  2. Mix 1/2 teaspoon of mild liquid laundry detergent, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of white vinegar in 1 cup of cold water.
  3. Dip a soft bristled brush in the mixture and work it over the stained area.
  4. Blot the area gently with a dry cloth to remove any excess moisture.
  5. Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 1 cup of cold water, and dab the mixture onto the stain.
  6. Rinse the area again with cold water and blot with a dry cloth.
  7. Allow the blouse to air-dry completely.

Conclusion

Following the steps above, you can remove marker stains from your blouse easily. It is important to use the right products and techniques to ensure the fabric is not damaged. If stain is still visible after first attempt, repeat steps until stain is completely gone.
