First, you'll want to pre-treat your baking dish with a combination of soap and water. If it’s just starting to have marker stains, this may be enough to get rid of them. Be sure to use a mild detergent and scrub gently with a sponge. Rinse away the soap with warm water and inspect the dish for any marker stains.
If the marker stains are still there after soap and water, try using vinegar instead. Simply mix a cup of white vinegar with two cups of warm water in a bowl. Dip your sponge into the mixture and use it to scrub the affected area of the dish. Once you’ve scrubbed away any visible marker stains, rinse the dish with warm water again.
If the vinegar doesn’t work, you can try cleaning the dish with baking soda. Make sure to mix the baking soda with warm water until it forms a thick paste. Then, apply paste to the affected area of the dish and let it sit for 15 minutes. After that, use a soft sponge to gently scrub paste away and rinse the dish with warm water when done.
If the baking dish smells like vinegar or baking soda, simply rinse it with some fresh water. Once you’re done, dry the dish off with a paper towel or let it air dry.
We hope this guide has been helpful in showing you how to clean marker stains from baking dishes. With some elbow grease and the right techniques, you should be able to eliminate those pesky marker stains in no time.
