Start by cleaning up any dry marker from the anorak before you begin treating the stain. Carefully scrape away any excess marker with a clean cloth or razor blade, being careful not to damage the fabric.
Next, blot the stain with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water. Use a cotton swab or ball to dab the solution onto the stain, as this will help prevent it from spreading further. Leave the solution to work on stain for a few minutes, then blot it up with a clean cloth.
If the stain is still visible after using the vinegar solution, try applying some rubbing alcohol directly to stained area. Again, use a cotton swab or ball to avoid spreading the stain. Rub gently until stain begins to fade, then blot with a clean cloth.
Finally, add a few drops of dish soap to the stained area and scrub with a clean cloth. Rinse with warm water and repeat if needed. Once the stain has been removed, use a vacuum cleaner to suck up any remaining soap foam.
Getting rid of marker stains from anoraks doesn't have to be difficult. All it takes is a bit of white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, dish soap, and a bit of elbow grease and your anorak will soon be as good as new.
