First, use a white paper towel or a dry cleaning cloth to blot the stained area. Make sure to use light, gentle pressure while blotting to avoid spreading the stain further.
Using a clean cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol, dab the stained area. Do not apply too much pressure when dabbing so that the stain does not spread further. Continue to blot the area with the paper towel or cloth after each application of rubbing alcohol.
Next, mix some liquid dish soap and laundry detergent (in a 4:1 ratio) and apply it to the stained area. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes before blotting the area with a clean, damp cloth. Rinse the area afterwards and repeat the process if necessary.
Finally, wash the entire dress according to the manufacturer's instructions. Then, air dry the dress or put it in the dryer.
Following these steps should help you easily remove marker stains from your favorite A-line dress. But remember, if the stain persists, don't panic. You can always take the garment to a professional dry cleaner.
