Dealing with lipstick stains on your wallet can be a hassle. Whether it’s from a lipstick tube that’s come open in your purse, or from a kiss you left on your wallet as a reminder, it’s important to know how to remove these stains quickly and easily. Here’s what you need to do:

Step 1: Gather Supplies

In order to effectively remove lipstick stains from your wallet, you’ll need the following items:

  • Dishwashing soap
  • Sponge or rag
  • White cloth
  • Cleaning toothbrush
  • Warm water

Step 2: Prep Your Wallet

It’s a good idea to remove any debris or lint from the wallet before you start cleaning. Use the cleaning toothbrush to gently brush away any dirt or debris. Making sure the area is as clean as possible beforehand will help the cleaning process move along more smoothly.

Step 3: Soak Up Excess Lubricants

If the lipstick stain is still moist or oily, use the white cloth to soak up the excess oils or lubricants. This will prevent the grease from spreading further onto the wallet.

Step 4: Wash with Soap and Water

Create a solution of warm water and dishwashing soap. Use the sponge or rag to lightly scrub the area where the lipstick stain is located. If the fabric of your wallet is very delicate, be gentle when rubbing. Make sure you don’t scrub too hard, or you could damage the fabric.

Step 5: Rinse and Dry

Thoroughly rinse the area with warm water to remove soap residue. Use the white cloth to dry the wallet and let it air dry. You may also use a soft cloth to gently blot the area until it’s completely dry.
