Lipstick stains can be a pesky problem, especially when they end up on your wallet or purse. While the stain may seem overwhelming at first, it is easy to get rid of if you know how.

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

The supplies you need to clean your wallet depend on the material it is made of. If it is leather, you’ll need a soft cloth, some mild soap, and a few drops of olive oil. For fabric wallets, gather a soft cloth, a mild detergent, and a few tablespoons of vinegar.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stain

Once you have your supplies, you’ll want to pre-treat the stain before you try to clean it. If your wallet is leather, mix together a few drops of mild soap with some olive oil, then use a soft cloth to apply the mixture to the stain. For fabric wallets, mix together some mild detergent and a few tablespoons of vinegar, then use a soft cloth to carefully dab the mixture onto stain.

Step 3: Clean the Wallet

Once you have pre-treated the stain, you can now begin cleaning wallet. If it is made of leather, dampen a soft cloth with lukewarm water and use it to wipe away any remaining traces of the pre-treatment mixture. If it is a fabric wallet, rinse the treated stain area with lukewarm water, then lay the wallet flat in direct sunlight to dry.

Now that you know how to remove lipstick stains from your wallet, you can keep it looking its best!
