Use a clean, soft cloth or paper towel to blot the stained area. Don’t rub stain as this will spread it further and make it more difficult to remove.
Lipstick is an oil-based stain, so you’ll need to use an oil-based pretreatment solution to help remove the stain. Spray the pretreatment solution directly onto the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes.
Once the pretreatment solution has had time to penetrate the fabric, wash the item using a detergent specifically designed for treating oily stains. Make sure to follow the instructions on the package carefully so as not to damage the fabric.
If there are still traces of the stain remaining after washing, apply rubbing alcohol to a cloth or cotton ball and dab it onto stained area until the stain is no longer visible.
Once lipstick stain has been removed, hang up the uniform and allow it to air dry completely before wearing or storing.
Cleaning lipstick stains from uniforms doesn’t have to be complicated – all you need is a few items from around house. With the right supplies and a bit of patience, those stubborn lipstick stains will be gone in no time!
