Lipstick stains on your UGGs can leave an unsightly spot if not treated properly. Fortunately, there are plenty of basic materials found in most households that can help you get your UGGs back to looking like new. Here are some tips for how to clean lipstick stains from UGGs.
Start by using a paper towel or napkin to dab the lipstick stain. Blot rather than rub, as rubbing will only spread the color further and make it harder to remove. If you have access to a vacuum cleaner, use the brush attachment to suction up any remaining residue.
Mix two tablespoons of baking soda with two tablespoons of white vinegar in a bowl. The mixture should fizz when you add vinegar. Apply the paste directly onto the stained areas of the UGGs and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes. This will help to draw out the lipstick and break it down.
Once the paste has had some time to work, grab a soft-bristled toothbrush and gently scrub the area. You don't need to apply much pressure - the goal is to work the paste into the fibers of fabric and loosen any remaining lipstick particles. Dab off the excess liquid with a paper towel.
You may need to repeat process with a few drops of dishwashing detergent. Apply to the stained area, let it sit for 10 minutes, then blot it off with a paper towel. Again, lightly scrub with a toothbrush if needed. Rinse with cool water, and then pat dry with a towel.
If you've tried all of the above and you're still having trouble removing the stain, it might be time to call in a professional cleaning service. A specialist is trained to deal with stubborn stains, so they'll be able to provide more effective solutions than what you could do at home.
