Whether you’re dealing with a lipstick stain that’s fresh or a bit older, removing it from your trench coat is relatively easy if you take the proper steps. Here’s a quick guide on how to clean lipstick stains from your favorite trench coat:

  1. Start by blotting stain. Use a soft cloth or tissue to dab the stained area to remove as much of the lipstick as possible.
  2. Apply a pre-wash stain remover to the affected areas of the trench coat. Work in gently with a soft cloth or brush.
  3. Soak the trench coat in cold water for at least 30 minutes (but no longer than an hour). This will help to set stain remover and loosen any remaining lipstick.
  4. Wash the trench coat according to the instructions on its care label. You may need to repeat steps 2-3 if the stain persists.
  5. Allow trench coat to air dry, then inspect for any remaining traces of the lipstick. If any residue remains, simply repeat steps 2-4 until the stain is gone.

With these steps, you should be able to remove lipstick stains from your trench coat in no time!
