What You’ll Need
- Dishwashing detergent
- White vinegar
- Stain remover spray
- Enzyme laundry detergent
- Ammonia
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Clean cloths
Step 1: Pre-treat the Stains
Mix 1 tbsp of dishwashing detergent, 1 tbsp of white vinegar, and 2 cups of warm water in a bowl. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture and dab onto lipstick stain. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse off with cold water.
Step 2: Treat the Stain with Spray
Spray some stain remover spray onto the stained area and let it sit for 10 minutes. Gently rub the fabric together over the stained area, then rinse fabric with cold water.
Step 3: Wash the Fabric
Combine 1/4 cup of enzyme laundry detergent, 1/4 cup of ammonia, and 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide in a large bucket filled with warm water. Soak the fabric in the mixture for an hour, then rinse with cold water.
Step 4: Dry Fabric
Lay the fabric flat on a clean surface and let it air dry. Once the fabric is completely dry, check the area for any remaining stains. If there are any stubborn stains, repeat steps 1-3 until all the stains are gone.
