Step 1: Scrape Off Excess Lipstick
Using a hard, blunt object like a soft-bristled toothbrush or a spoon, gently scrape off any excess lipstick from the surface of the shoe. Be sure to be careful not to damage the material and to keep scraping motion light.
Step 2: Soak the Fabric
Mix one teaspoon of liquid dish soap with one cup of warm water. Then, submerge shoe in soapy water, making sure that it is completely saturated. Allow the shoe to soak overnight.
Step 3: Rinse & Dry
Next, rinse the shoe with cold water and gently rub the stained area with a washcloth. Finally, lay the shoe flat on a towel and allow it to air dry.
Additional Tips
- If the stain persists after the 3-step process, try using a little vinegar or baking soda in place of the soap.
- If you need to speed up drying process, use a blow dryer on the lowest setting.
