Removing Lipstick Stains From Sunglasses

Lipstick stains can be difficult to remove, especially from delicate materials like sunglasses. But with a few simple steps, you'll have your sunglasses looking as good as new in no time.

Step One: Create a Cleaning Solution

The first step is to mix a solution of gentle soap and lukewarm water. A mild dish soap works best. You'll want to use a soft cloth or a cotton swab to apply the solution.

Step Two: Scrub the Stain

Once the solution is applied, gently scrub the area using circular motions. Be sure to be gentle and don't press too hard. After scrubbing for several minutes, rinse the area with clean water to remove soap.

Step Three: Use a Mild Detergent

If the stain still remains, try using a mild detergent such as liquid laundry detergent. Mix detergent with warm water and use a soft cloth or cotton swab to apply the mixture. Again, gently scrub the area using circular motions. After scrubbing for several minutes, rinse area with clean water.

Step Four: Soak in Isopropyl Alcohol

For particularly stubborn stains, soaking the area in isopropyl alcohol may help. Soak a corner of a cloth in alcohol and dab it onto the stain. Allow area to sit for several minutes. Then, rinse the area with clean water.

Step Five: Finish with a Soft Cloth

Finally, dry the area with a soft cloth. Be sure not to rub too hard or you may scratch the lenses. If necessary, use a microfiber cloth to get rid of any streaks or smudges.

By following these steps, you should be able to get lipstick stains out of your sunglasses in no time!
