What You’ll Need

  • Clean rag
  • Liquid detergent
  • Vinegar
  • Baking soda

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Start by taking a clean rag and blotting the stain. If you have liquid detergent, you can add a few drops to the cloth and lightly dab it into the stain in circular motions. This should help lift and remove some of the stain.

Step 2: Make a Vinegar Solution

In a small bowl, combine equal parts vinegar and water. Dip the cloth in the bowl and again use a circular motion to scrub the stain. This will help to lift and remove any remaining lipstick.

Step 3: Baking Soda Paste

If the stain still won’t budge, try making a paste out of baking soda and water. Apply the paste to stain and let it sit for about 30 minutes. You should see it begin to dissolve the stain.

Step 4: Rinse and Dry

Once you’ve got the stain out, rinse the slippers in cold water and then let them air dry. If any traces of the lipstick stain remain, simply repeat above steps until the stain is fully gone.
