The first step is to gently blot the stained area with a clean cloth. Do not rub or scrub the stain, as this could cause it to spread and become more difficult to remove.
Mix a tablespoon of mild detergent or laundry detergent with 1/2 cup of white vinegar and 1/2 cup of warm water. Do not use regular vinegar, as the acidity can damage the delicate fabric.
Soak a clean cloth in cleaning solution and then gently apply it to the stained area. Let sit for five minutes. If the stain is still visible, repeat soaking process until the stain has been lifted.
Once stain has been lifted, rinse the area with cold water. Blot the area dry with a clean cloth, being careful not to rub or scrub the fabric.
To ensure that all traces of stain have been removed, treat the area with hydrogen peroxide. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and dab fabric. Allow the solution to sit on the fabric for a few minutes, then rinse and dry.
