Lipstick stains are one of the most difficult types of stains to get out of clothing, especially when the fabric is delicate. Seersucker is a lightweight, linen-like fabric that wrinkles easily and can be quite thin. But don’t fret—with the right ingredients and a few easy steps, you can successfully remove lipstick stains from seersucker with ease.

Start by blotting the stain with a clean, dry cotton rag to remove as much of lipstick as possible. Do not rub the area as this may cause the stain to spread further.
In a bucket or bowl, mix together one cup of white vinegar and one tablespoon of dish soap. Mix until the solution is blended and creamy.
Soak the stained seersucker garment in the vinegar solution for 30 minutes. Make sure to swish the fabric around in the solution to evenly distribute the cleaning properties.
Remove the garment from the vinegar solution and rinse it with cool water. If needed, repeat this process again for tougher stains.
Once you’ve rinsed the garment, hang it up to dry in a sunny spot. Once the garment is dry, check area to ensure the stain is gone. If the stain is still present, repeat steps 1-5 until the stain has been completely removed.
