When it comes to cleaning lipstick stains off satin, you may think it's an uphill battle—but it doesn't have to be! The key is to act fast and use the right approach.
With your fingertips, gently blot away as much of stain as possible with a dry cloth or paper towel. Avoid rubbing the stain, as this can spread the stain further or potentially damage the fabric.
Next, mix equal parts cool water and rubbing alcohol in a cup or bowl and dip a cotton pad in. Dab stained area with the pad a few times, but avoid rubbing, as this could damage fabric. Then, use a dry towel to blot the area until the stain is removed.
Now, it’s time to wash satin material according to the care instructions on the tag. Make sure to set the water temperature according to instructions, as well. If you are hand washing, make sure to launder in cold water and only use mild detergent. After washing, lay the fabric flat to dry.
