Before you start cleaning the stain, you'll need to gather some supplies. You'll need warm water, rubbing alcohol, an old toothbrush, a clean cloth, and a mild laundry detergent.
Take a clean cloth and begin blotting the stain. Do not rub, as this could spread the stain further and set it into the fabric. Continue this until the cloth comes away clean.
Mix two parts rubbing alcohol with one part warm water. Use a clean cloth or the old toothbrush to gently brush solution onto the stained area. Be sure to follow the fabric's care instructions so you don't damage the material.
Once the rubbing alcohol solution has been brushed onto the stain, rinse the area with cold water. Then, use mild laundry detergent and warm water to gently scrub area for several minutes.
Finally, check the stained area to make sure lipstick stain is gone. If it's still there, repeat the steps above. When finished, lay the fabric flat to dry. Don't put it in the dryer, as this could set stain.
