Start by holding the stain beneath a stream of cold water. This will help break up the lipstick so it can be washed away more easily.
In a bowl, mix equal parts dish soap and white vinegar and stir until it forms a paste. The mixture should be about the consistency of paint.
Using a soft-bristled brush, apply the paste directly to stain and gently scrub in a circular motion. Then allow the paste to sit on stain for 10 minutes.
Rinse the paste off with cold water and then inspect stain. If it's still present, repeat steps 2-4.
In a bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1/2 cup of cold water to form a paste. The paste should be the consistency of cake frosting.
Using a soft-bristled brush, apply the baking soda paste directly to the stain and gently scrub in a circular motion. Then allow the paste to sit on the stain for 10 minutes.
Rinse the baking soda paste off with cold water and then inspect the stain. If it's still present, repeat steps 5-7.
Using a clean white cloth, dab area to blot away any excess moisture.
Hang pajamas in direct sunlight to dry completely. The sun's UV rays have natural bleaching properties that can help remove stubborn stains.
Once pajamas are dry, inspect the area for remaining stains. If any lipstick remains, repeat steps 1-9 until the stain is completely gone.
